PreSchool PLUS Play. Learn. Grow. An independent, nonprofit childcare center operating from 7:30 am – 6:00 pm. |
224 East Gowen Avenue
Philadelphia, PA 19119 |

| Founded in 1985, PreSchool PLUS is a licensed daycare center that
provides a nurturing environment for children from infant to pre-K. We offer an experienced staff and an intimate teacher-to-student ratio. We encourage children to grow through play, experiential learning and interaction with other children. |
| Our Program |
We
offer three different learning environments:
Our theme-based curriculum allows children to explore subjects such as nature, health, seasons and holidays from a variety of cultures. Children take part in art, story time, music, cooking and field trips. Each day features group activities and opportunities for individual play in our discovery areas. As often as weather permits, children enjoy time in our spacious, well-equipped and fenced-in playground. PSP is open weekdays from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm. |
| Our Staff |
Each class features a lead teacher and an aide, making our teacher-to-student ratio lower than standards set by the state. Our lead teachers have significant experience in the field. Teachers invite parents to schedule periodic individual conferences regarding their child. |
| Our Parents |
PSP encourages parents to become fully involved in our center. We have an open door policy and encourage parents to visit or call the center at any time. A Board, composed primarily of parents, governs the center and meets monthly with the Director. Picnics, potluck suppers and other events throughout the year foster a spirit of community among PSP families. |
