About Preschool Plus

Who We Are

Preschool Plus is a not-for-profit child care ministry that has partnered in ministry with a local church, providing a Christian educational (learning through play) environment and quality early care and education program. Preschool Plus is designed to partner with parents as they seek support in the care and education of their children. At Preschool Plus, each child is guided to develop his/her potential in every aspect of life within the shelter and nurturing relationship of Christian love.

WHY Preschool Plus?

Through the combined use of multiple teaching  techniques and child-directed play, children learn about cooperation through the many projects. Children particularly learn how to solve problems and resolve conflicts. Parents prefer this approach because they want to teach their children how to think, not what to think, and to develop as well-rounded individuals with an innate curiosity and love of learning.  When our students leave Preschool Plus, they are equipped to rely on their own inner compasses to help steer them on their individual journeys, rather than fit into one specific niche.

Our Philosophy

  • To value each child as a unique and special child of God, encouraging individuality and promoting self-esteem.

  • To provide a holistic program, designed to meet the needs of each child, enabling spiritual, social, emotional, intellectual, and physical growth.

  • To value a child’s play experience as an opportunity to increase ability and knowledge through interaction with other children.

  • To serve and respect each child and their family regardless of race, creed, nationality, ethnic origin, color, gender, or faith.

  • To be “partners with parents” providing resources and support related to current parenting issues.

  • To develop and support staff committed to a ministry of excellence in child development.

  • To provide a safe and comfortable “home away from home” for children, parents, and staff.
